'男性혐오주의자' 샤를리즈 테론(Charlize Theron)
헐리웃 스타 샤를리즈 테론(Charlize Theron, 44))이 2012년 갓난아기때 입양한 사내아이를 '여성'으로 키우고 있다고 합니다. 7살 짜리 남자 아이를 트랜스젠더로 키우고 있다는 것이지요. 그 이유는 아이가 세 살때 '나는 boy 가 아니에요'라고 말했기 때문이라는 것이고, 테론은 그것이 그녀 자신을 위한 '결정'이 아니라고 말하고 있습니다.

전해지기로 기뻐했다고 하며 그녀의 친구들 또한 기뻐했으며, 아이의 그런 심성을 부추겼을 겁니다. 아이는 그렇게 비뚤어진 환경에서 자신이 인정받으며 살아남을 '비뚤어진 정체성'을 비로소 찾은 것입니다. 아무리 입양아라지만, 태론에게는 엄연한 자식입니다. 이런 그녀를 우리는 어떻게 봐야 할까요.

Charlize Theron has said she is raising her first child, who was born male, as a girl.
The Oscar-winning actor discussed the identity of seven-year-old Jackson, who is one of her two adopted children recently, acknowledging that she used to think Jackson “was a boy”.
“Yes, I thought she was a boy, too. Until she looked at me when she was three years old and said, ‘I am not a boy!’” Theron told the Daily Mail.
The Mad Max and Monster star went on to say: “So there you go! I have two beautiful daughters who, just like any parent, I want to protect and I want to see thrive.
“They were born who they are and exactly where in the world both of them get to find themselves as they grow up, and who they want to be, is not for me to decide.”

Theron adopted Jackson in 2012 followed by her other daughter, August, three years later.
Charlize Theron’s comments have been received positively, with several transgender activists expressing their support on social media.
American lawyer and transgender activist Chase Strangio said: “Thank you Charlize for being the type of parent all kids deserve.”
Transgender broadcaster India Willoughby posted several messages for Theron, saying she is “setting a fantastic example”.
Willoughby also said: “Go Charlize! LOVE this attitude ... this is the future. Beautiful. FANTASTIC PARENT.”
During the interview, the 43-year-old actress added: “My job as a parent is to celebrate them and to love them and to make sure that they have everything they need in order to be what they want to be.
“And I will do everything in my power for my kids to have that right and to be protected within that.”
