1936년 미국의 '모래-폭풍 헬멧(sand-blasting helmet)'

1936년 10월 미국의 워싱턴 D.C.에서 탄광 지하노동자의 규폐증 보호를 위해 새로 개발한 헬멧이라는,

이름하여 '모래-폭풍 헬멧(sang-blasting helmet)'을 테스트하고 있는 옛 사진입니다.

일년의 테스트 기간을 거쳐 탄광 근로자들에게 보급했다고 합니다.

이렇듯 자국민들의 위생건강 보호를 게을리하지 않았던 미국이 지금은 코로나바이러스로 우환아닌

우환을 맞고 있으니 격세지감을 느끼게 합니다.
